Save the Date!!!
Happening this year on June 3rd 10am to 6pm

Featuring unique and interesting display gardens, and guest speakers discussing interesting gardening topics. We have Jeannie Geremia, GCNJ Butterflies and BeeGAP Chair speaking. She will be speaking on pollinators and pollinator gardens, bees and butterflies. She is a wealth of knowledge on the subject.

New Jersey gardening advocate Jeannie Geremia of Raritan Township has been named 2012 Person of the Year by Gardener News, a monthly publication that covers most of New Jersey.

Geremia grew up in Neshanic Station as Jeannie Kinney, moving to Raritan Township in 1966. “Gardening gives a person a feeling of well-being and of being connected to everything that lives and breathes,” she says. Being outdoors, “making things grow,” and actively participating in the cycle of life make the hobby irresistible to her.

Currently her Garden Club of N.J. committee is administering a $40,000 fund of U.S. Department of Agriculture money that will be doled out $1,000 at a time to N.J. community gardens that are being established in places like Red Bank and Bridgeton or are being expanded as is happening in Montclair and Demarest.

We also will have Landscape Designer Ann Yater Chorba speaking this year on new and exciting landscape plants as well as great tips and advice for creating a beautiful garden space. Ann has over 25 years of experience in the horticultural industry working with home owners as well as Landscape Contractors. She has designed and implemented projects ranging from modest plantings to full renovations, walkways, patios, outdoor kitchens and living areas poolscapes and so much more. She will answer your questions or can even make a personal consultation to help you create the garden or landscape of your dreams. You won’t want to miss her informative talk.

Food, contests, demonstrations, and so much more. You won’t want to miss this fun and informative event!!
